Finally recovered from the long week after getting plenty of sleep today.
So, I’m getting back down to work on His Christmas Wish, and hoping to finish it this weekend.
Up to 6400 on the new Laresa story. I’m not far away from the turning point of the story, which rapidly moves into the heat.
Monday is likely to be a nightmare at work. Spillover from Thanksgiving. Beyond that, I’m not sure what it’s going to be like. The one thing I do know is that I’m off Friday 🙂
Still hoping to finish it before then, though. I’d like to get it done in time to let it simmer before I do my first pass edit, and then have plenty of time to pass it to Roust for a release on the 6th, the next to the last day of the contest submission period.
After that, I’m absolutely jumping back to Lowborn and SOTM. If I have a really good idea for Valentine’s, I’ll write it, but otherwise, those two and planning for the next Earth Day Magic of the Wood have priority.
Just wanted to drop a quick thank you to the readers at Lit for supporting me in in the contest ( even though I’m not eligible to win again until Valentine’s ).
Over 30,000 views and 300 votes on Center Piece with a score of 4.65, which exceeds my expectations and far exceeds the averages for the category.
Got to work on “His Christmas Wish” today, and the new Laresa story is moving nicely.
I just finished putting one protagonist in place, and the second will be along any moment. A few paragraphs will put them both where they need to be for the story to unfold.
With three more days off ahead of me — one of which will be full quiet time with the young one off at his grandparents — I should be able to make nice progress.
