It’s a good thing I had Monday off and a four day weekend before this week of hell, culminating in a 13 hour nightmare.  Otherwise, I’d still be trying to recover from the mess.

Good thing I don’t work a full five day week between now and 2013 as well 😀

As it is, I’ll be working on the editing for Center Piece this afternoon, with intentions of having it off for editing by the wee hours tonight, at the latest.  The goal is a Tuesday posting, avoiding what my personal experience says is a dead zone for readership that starts on Wednesday and doesn’t really recover until at least the following Tuesday.

Holidays are just as bad as weekends for readership at Lit.

Naturally, the long hours and even more reduced opportunities for sleep mean that I didn’t accomplish jack for writing this week.  Going to try to remedy that while I’m in the process of editing.

Finished the first draft of Center Piece a few seconds ago.  Clocked in at 9800 words.  I’ll probably let it sit and simmer all day tomorrow before beginning the editing process.

Not much chance I can finish the editing in time to put it in the queue for Thursday.  I have a severe aversion to the weekends, so I’ll probably wait until the first of the week — most likely Tuesday — to submit it.

In the meantime, I’m going to get to work on writing something else to help clear this one out of my mind a bit.  The more writing I have clouding up my memories of this one, the better my first-pass edit will be, and the less work Roust will have fixing it.

My guess of 8k words on Center Piece just went out the window *laugh*  I’m at 8500 right now, and Autumn still has one intense orgasm left to go before the ending.

I can pretty much pinpoint that it will clock in pretty close to 9k now, though.  It will end up either a little under ( best guess ) or a little over.

As usual, wrote a little on Laresa, SOTM, and Lowborn as well.

Hoping now to finish Center Piece by tomorrow evening at the latest.  I want to be able to put it in Roust’s hands by Wednesday morning so I can put it in the queue for the contest on Thursday.

“Center Piece” is now up to almost 4k words, and the first sex scene is done.  This one is only a prelude to what’s to come, though.

Next up is a little tension and anticipation building, leading to a realization of a fantasy that Autumn, the star of the story, is never going to forget.

All this while the young one has been as loud as a tornado siren most of the day :p

Have Monday off, so I’m hoping to make some serious progress once I have quiet time.  I had to spend most of the day off on Friday running errands, and slept for the rest of the time, so I didn’t get much done.  Monday should be a different story, since everything’s done.
