Updated covers

I went through the computer and the website where I used to grab images to create my covers and gathered up the resources I need to fix my old, small covers I used to make when I was running a lower screen resolution and didn’t have Photoshop.

I updated three of them tonight just to see how difficult the process was going to be. It’s beyond easy with Photoshop *laugh*

You can check out the new covers for “Finding Karen”, “Casting Off Convention”, and “Blackhawk Hall” by viewing the stories on My Work or by going to “Extras” and viewing them through the cover browser.

You can also check them out on this forum thread if you wish, along with the original covers they’re replacing. Images on the forum are NOT filtered by your settings if you’re logged in. That’s why it’s tagged NSFW in the thread title. There are artistic renditions of female nekkidness there, so stand warned.

EDIT: Five more covers updated: “Devan’s Decision”, “Kampar’s Wand”, “Sister’s Shadow”, “Teacher’s Pet”, “Window to a Dream”.

EDIT II: “Ebon Genesis”, “To Catch a Merchant Princess”, “Queen Alicia”, “Adam’s Aunt”, “Steward of the Wood”, “Daughter of the Wood”, “Forever of the Wood”, and “Secret of the Wood” have also been updated with new, larger images, or had text highlighted to be more visible.

If you check out the forum, there are some previews of sections from “My Worlds”. I’ve recently built the database and utilities for Maps, roughed out the pages for “Danica Info” and “Characters”, and planned out the database for “Characters”.

I’ve also written on Lowborn, SOTM, and Devan:Deflowered between cranking out code. Devan will probably be the first thing done, just because it’s a lot less involved writing. Damn plots! *laugh*

Got the problem with the forum fixed and picked up the first comments on the two new shorts. If you missed it, make sure to check out the “Shorts” link on the main page. Two new early Devan stories in the Arts Ardane series that are exclusive to the website, with another coming to complete a trilogy.

Now, I’m going to chill for a little while and take a nap before I have to go get the young one. With the forum fix no longer nagging at me, maybe I can get some serious writing done.

That answers that question.

Decided what I was going to get done today. Finished coding all the backend utilities for maps, so all I have to do now is make the edits to the maps themselves and load them in the database via my handy new utilities 🙂

The characters section will use the exact same code conventions as this, so it shouldn’t take me long to get that running, once I decide to work on it.

Still figuring out how I’m going to present the “Danica’s World” information and “Misc.” on the “My Worlds” page, so the front end and back end are a little up in the air, there.

As far as the content for those two pages, some of the text will need to be edited, but otherwise, it’s pretty much ready to add and go. This stuff was all on the website long ago, before I decided to completely revamp it.

Now that I have a nice feeling of accomplishment and some momentum, I’m going to see what I can do about getting some writing done tomorrow.

EDIT: And, now the new shorts pages validate. I was so tickled to have everything done that I forgot to run them through validation before linking them up *laugh*

Forgot that I had to convert all the stories over to xhtml format ( lower case tags ) because I cheated and used Wordperfect to output them 😛

Web Shorts are Live!

The new Web Shorts page is now LIVE, with two new stories in the Arts Ardane series telling the earliest stories of Devan Ardane. This will be a trilogy, with one more yet to come soon.

Comments won’t appear automatically. I’ve set it up so that I have to approve each comment before it appears on the website. Odds are that unless I’m out of the house ( rare, except for work ) your comment will go up in short order.

Hope you enjoy the two new tales, and what I hope will be many more short tales of the characters and places you know from all my worlds in days to come. Feel free to suggest characters you’d like to see more hot, steamy sex sessions with. One of the reasons for this new section is to add hot little sequels to stories that I just don’t feel I have enough meat on the bone for a full sequel to post to the story sites.

So, if you want to see more from the “Adam” series, here’s a place it can happen. Maybe there’s a scene I skipped over or faded to black on that you’d like to see the whole hot and sticky scene from. Ask, and you may receive.

Finished the coding for the shorts page ( other than a few tidbits to make it visible on the main site ) today.

Also have First Touch back from Roust. I’m going to go through the suggestions here in a little bit, and then start the first pass edit on First Taste.

As soon as that second story is edited and ready to go, the shorts section will go live. I’ll announce it in all the usual places ( including here )
