Yeah, I do believe I was a little conservative in my estimate on how long SOTM 17 would end up.  I’m maybe halfway through this sex scene, with the chapter closer still to come, and I’m already over the 10k word mark.  *laugh*

I’m getting back to it in a minute, but I’ll probably have to take a break from it when the young one gets back from school in a few minutes.  I think I’ll dive into the next chapter of Lowborn after that, because it should be solid action until near the end.

I usually make sure that my girl on girl scenes involve characters with different hair color for a reason *laugh*  The scene in SOTM that I’m writing at the moment breaks that rule, and it requires a lot more care and attention to keep the pronouns straight while reducing the number of times I use their proper names.

The chapter is up to around 9600 words, and I’m fairly certain that this one will break the 10k, possibly 11k mark.

Also got started on the next chapter of Lowborn, though I’m more or less still in the opening, tying it to the end of the prevous chapter.

I have a feeling that I might just transport Guy from the A Royal Sacrifice chain into my world soon.  He’s shaping up in my head as a character in the eventual Saggitariad history tale — with a few changes.  Never fear, he’s still going to be a rogue and a notorious womanizer *laugh*

A wee bit of a break to relax from the difficulty of that redhead on redhead scene, and I’ll dive back into it.  Mmmm… Wish I was actually diving back into it… But, I digress!

That third pen name story is the one that finally got ahold of me, so I just finished it a few minutes ago.  Otherwise, I’ve been run a little ragged until now.  I’m off work for the next three days, so I’m hoping to make some writing progress on SOTM and Lowborn.

I’ll probably finish Ch. 17 of SOTM first, and then knuckle down on Lowborn.  I’d like to have it coming out to fill the gap between the Summer and Halloween contests at Lit, to try to get my name back out there with some regularity.

It seems like the traffic has really dropped at SOL.  I got on the download leader board with around 1600 views on a recent story, and the totals I’m seeing scrolling through the new stories list aren’t very impressive either.  Wonder if it has something to do with a protest over the new pedo rules?  It would be kind of creepy to think that a majority of the traffic there was devoted to that.

Sorry, but that just weirds me out.

Anyhow, I’m on a little rest break.  If the young one will go [i]back[/i] to bed ( he went in and laid down earlier, then got up about ten minutes later ) I’ll probably tackle that sex scene in SOTM.  If not, I may pick up where I left off on Lowborn until he crashes.

I’m alternately working on SOTM 17, Lowborn 07, and a story in my third pen name. Need to bounce around a bit, because I can’t seem to keep my focus. At least this way, I’m turning out some wordcount and keeping up momentum. I’m not looking back over what I’ve written and deciding that it wasn’t up to snuff, either. When I come back to one of the three after working on the other for a while, I’m happy with where I’m picking up.

I don’t know why it works for me, but it does. Frustrating for those waiting on SOTM — I know. The mistake of posting chapters of an unfinished story won’t happen again. My muse is just too unpredictable to leave people hanging like I have.  That’s why Lowborn won’t come out until the final word is penned and edited.
