Got a little more done on Lowborn tonight. I’ve got a bit of a tricky transition to deal with, and I’m too tired to figure it out *laugh* If it keeps being a pain, I may just skip it for the moment and move on to the next scene in order to not bog down again.
That might even provide some signposts for the transition. I’m more or less skipping over a lot of dialogue and summing it up in the following scene, to move the story along a little faster. Just need a good place for a scene break that sets up what the conversation is about.
Peeked at SOTM 17 a bit, and I’m still not sure what’s missing there. I’ll give it a bit, and then look at it again. It’s more or less some important character development, leading into some action, leading into some sex — all of which is going to add some heavy emotional impact to the scenes leading up to the conclusion of this book of Danica’s story.
It was so much easier writing Danica, when I didn’t know all that I do now, and could just find ways to connect the sex and some interesting locales/situations *laugh* I think the deeper plot will be worth the effort and time put into it when it finally comes out, though.
Okay, I’m off to bed. Still crossing my fingers that I’ll manage to get out early enough one day this week to go catch Iron Man. Today looked promising, and then everything went to hell :p
It’s slow going, but I’m getting back in the mode. Have the next scene of Lowborn moving, putting me at about a third of the way into this chapter. It’s just so hard to get back in gear when I fall off the horse any more.
Extremely frustrating.
But, I’m writing. I probably won’t be entering the Nude Day contest at Lit, because it simply doesn’t inspire any ideas. The theme just seems to limited to me, and nudity stories are just hard to make believable. So, at least I won’t have that getting in the way of writing the rest of my stories.
Off to bed now. I kept slapping the snooze alarm this morning so many times that I had to send the young one over to my mother’s and have her take him to school, because I missed getting him on the bus and didn’t have time to get him there myself. Obviously still run down from last week.
The hours are less this week, but still up from what they had been. I’m still hoping to sneak out early enough to go watch Iron Man some time this week 😀
Got up this morning and felt like writing. I finished the rewrite of the scene in Lowborn that was bothering me, and it’s much better now. I still may go back and punch it up even more, but for now, it serves to advance the story in the ways I want it to, and is a much more believable scene.
Moving on to the next one now, which leads into the penultimate conflict of the story.
Just didn’t feel like writing, but I felt like I needed to be doing something, and this is what I came up with.
Every once in a while, someone wanders into the forum at Literotica and asks about vote/view/comment stats. I always thought that I should compile mine and have it ready for when that question came up. Finally got around to it today.
These are my stats from Literotica for all three pen names. The third pen name omits a lot of information, because it’s supposed to be a secret, and there’s not much point in a secret if you give too many clues *laugh*
I at least feel like I accomplished something now, and the itch to write is starting to overcome my headache my child has given me today, so maybe I’ll feel good enough to write here in a little while.
