Center Piece at 1500 too

My Thanksgiving story as Les, “Center Piece” is also at 1500 words.  I have my lead — Autumn — introduced, and have her moved into position for the story to take place.  After a couple more scenes to establish things, I’ll be ready to give her a Thaksgiving she’ll never forget.

My general plan is to put this one on the front burner, releasing it fairly early in the contest.  Then, I’ll release the Laresa story late in the contest, putting both of them as close in proximity to their respective holidays as possible.

Of course, that’s all up to my muse.  I’m letting it run free, as usual.  Fortunately, every time I blink through these two, Lowborn, or SOTM, something is always striking me and I’m writing as of now.  Halloween didn’t give me a spark this year, but the winter holidays seem to be working.

Finally, some forward momentum

I had a flash of inspiration for a Thanksgiving story as Les, and I got some writing done tonight for the first time in a while.  The initial setup of Autumn in “Center Piece” is done, and I’m about to put her “on location” for the rest of the story.

This one is going to delve into somewhat new territory.  I’ve explored some of this as Dark, and touched on other elements of it as Les in things like “Last Chance” but this one is going all the way, putting things together.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.  This one is really singing, and that usually means a productive period.  I’ll do my damndest to apply it toward the stories still unfinished if it turns out that way.  Notably Lowborn and SOTM.
