One more thing that just came up

Yesterday, I added my abandoned opening of A Royal Sacrifice Ch. 19 to the new “Unpublished” section.

It’s not going to be there much longer.

Red has finished new chapters to replace the first two missing chapters, and looking at my old one today, I suddenly had some inspiration.  I’ve read back through the story, keyed in on what is missing from that chapter, and I’m picking up where I left off oh-so-long ago.

It’s up to 2300 words, and I’m going to aim to finish it by the weekend.  Red has submitted the first missing chapter, and the second is in editing.

Within a couple of weeks, A Royal Sacrifice should be a complete story on Literotica again 😀

Moving on all fronts

I’m started on Ch. 19 of SOTM.  Sanctuary of the Wood is coming along nicely.  I’ve had some solid musing on Lowborn and Jackin’ Jill that I think will get those multi-chapter stories cranking when I put them on the plate.  The “About” page is coming along nicely, and I’m developing even more of the templates and coding I’ll need for the major content sections of the site.

I’m quite tickled with myself, frankly *laugh*  Still getting things done this evening even though I’m back to work now.  The recharge of my batteries over the last 10 days while still keeping up with some writing and website work seems to be paying off.

Even getting some things done like first-reads for other authors ( two so far and a third I’m getting ready to do ) and some coding for someone on the side as well.

I just finished a header image I’m really happy with that goes on the “Ancient Writing” subsection of the “About” page that will house a lot of unpublished ( don’t get too excited… it’s ancient stuff, and mostly terrible *laugh* ) writing from years long gone.  I’m really beginning to learn some new tricks in Photoshop thanks to some pointers from someone, and it’s dramatically improving what I can do with those header images.

I also have some new artwork on the way for the front page.  It’s a large composite image, so it will probably be a while before it shows up.  It will have more detailed Danica and Laresa pics.

I’ll probably start the editing process for SOTM 18 either tomorrow or Wednesday.  That should be long enough since I finished it to do a cold read.  I’ll then aim to get it to Roust by Saturday at the latest, and submit it by Sunday, for an expected release on Thursday or Friday of the following week.

That all depends on things going as planned, so it’s not set in stone yet.

Okay, I’m going to go do that read, then get back to writing on either SOTM 19 or Sanctuary.

Missing content restored

I just restored one of the sections of the website that’s been down for a while, in a new and improved form!

You can check out the unpublished stories and cut scenes from published stories Right Here on the “My Work Extras” page.

I’ll restore the rest of the cut scenes that used to be there, as well as probably add some more I have sitting around in time.  With a new, easy to use interface, I can update this section whenever I wish with point and click ease.

That’s the goal for the whole website – making it easy to add any content that I want to or readers request with a few keystrokes and clicks.  Once all the sections are rolled out, it will be a breeze to update the site whenever I want 🙂

Now, back to writing after I make some Hamburger Helper for me and the young one.

Website section moving forward

I got a bit of writing done earlier today, but the environment here wasn’t conductive to it as the day went on. So, I jumped into working on one of the long-delayed sections of the website – the “About Me” page.

This is actually going to have quite a bit of content on it, rather than just a blurb or two.  It will have links to pictures of me and my inspiration – Baileykins.  I’ll also write about her on a page, telling some of how we met.

There will be ancient examples of my writing from before I started posting anything to Lit.  Most of this stuff has never been seen before ( and probably shouldn’t be ) but it’s an interesting way to see how I’ve evolved over the years.

There will be information about my PnP role-playing game that is the inspiration for Danica’s World.  Most of the characters in the stories were my characters or NPCs from the game.  Danica herself I created in Bailey’s image, catering to her fetishes, from a line on the back of Devan’s character sheet that said she had a younger sister.  I’ll link up some scans of old maps, character sheets, spell books, and the like, so you can see the humble beginnings of the world Danica inhabits, and many of you walk with me in my stories.

Finally, there will be a section that relates some of the Facebook-style information about what shows, music, books, and such I enjoy, as well as some pursuits I’ve engaged in over the years online, and a bit of the things I did way back when before there was an internet *laugh*

The hardest part of all of this will be digging the stuff out of the labyrinth of the back bedroom to scan :p

It’s proving to be a good test bed for adding story-related content as well.  It will utilize all the navigation features and page layouts that I’ll need when I start building those content pages.  With all that nailed down, I’ll be able to create the database tables and utilities necessary to enter new content with point and click ease.  Once that’s done, the website can easily expand on request for information, or when new characters and settings show up in a story.

I’m happy with how it’s all coming out, and this is yet another way I keep my juices flowing.  Inactivity is what drags me down and keeps me from writing, so having this as a standby for when writing just isn’t going to work, but I don’t want to just vegetate on television or something, will keep me moving forward and out of slumps.

I’ll probably post some example pics on the forum soon of what the new sections will look like.  The main “About” page and a good chunk of the page where my pictures are is done.  Of course, I need to take new ones.  I’ve been meaning to do that for a while.

I usually have at least a little quiet time in the mornings before the young one fully wakes up, so I hope to get back on Sanctuary tomorrow, clearing my head of what I wrote on SOTM 18 so I can read it “cold” in a couple of days to begin the editing process.
