Up to 3300 words on Queen.  I actually ended up cheating on that scene I was researching *laugh*  After all, it involved magic, so I took advantage of that to not have to completely worry about realistic physics.  I just covered my bases and moved on.

I just finished the teaser scene for the heart of the story, which is pure summer fun, romance, and hot sex 😀  Then its just a matter of a closer that wraps things up nicely.  Hoping to finish it by the weekend.

I may very well have another summer contest entry, if I can find the time and funny bone to work on an awful piece of beach erotica someone sent me for an LST3K.  Real horror show *laugh*

Young one’s not sleeping, and I’m at the sex scene of that third pen name story, so that one’s stalled until I have some quiet time to write.

May add a little bit to SOTM 17 before I start on the romance part of Queen, then it will be a matter of finding quiet time to write the sex for Thakkor and Alicia too.  Should still be a bit before I hit the next sex scene in SOTM, so I have that one to work on when conditions aren’t conductive to writing heat.

I really should get started on the penultimate chapter of Lowborn, but I’m just not feeling it at the moment.  Too many other characters chattering in my head, drowning them out.  Need to finish those stories/chapters first.

Anyway, I’m still writing at least a bit each day, so things are moving.  Even when I haven’t felt like it, I’ve been able to blink to one of the front burner stories and find someplace that I could add something.  So far, so good.

Worked a little on Queen, getting that next scene rolling.  I’m still in the research phase to make sure that the preceding scene conforms to natural physics *laugh*

Also did a bit of work on SOTM 17, building up the end of the scene I’ve been working on.  It’s primarily character development for Danica and Marlena, showing how this book of the story is changing them.

Most of what I’ve written the last day or so has been a story in my third pen name, though.  I hit a major inspiration flash, and had to write it.  The good thing about those stories is that they’re rarely longer than 2 Lit pages, and it’s not unusual for me to finish them in a day, or just a little more.  So even when I concentrate on one of those, it doesn’t take much away from anything else.

I need the release of those somewhat mindless strokers to break up logjams in my head, too.  That’s the primary function of the third pen name, even though I can’t manage to just use it with complete freedom, as originally intended.  I never really expected any fanbase with it, and I’m actually getting a lot of devoted followers, so I feel obliged to deliver up to a certain level of quality.

Same problem I had with Les.  That was supposed to serve the same function, and it’s become a primary pen name.   I may have to make a fourth one for pure smut, and stick to my guns *laugh*

Anyway, relaxing a bit, and then I’m going to do a little more on Queen.  Think I may post something on the forum, but if anybody reading this has experience with sailing, I could always use an evaluation of that scene from an experienced point of view.  It seems sound to me, but I’ve never been on a sailing vessel, so…

Hmm… Just thought of something when I blinked off this page.  It may very well be that a widget I added that’s completely behind the scenes ( stat tracker ) could be causing those server errors.  I may turn it off for a while and see if that alleviates the problem.  If so, I may just have to disable it, even though I really like the stats it delivers.  Website functionality is more important than the bells and whistles for me that nobody else ever sees.

I paused on Queen tonight to do a little research.  It’s only the tiniest bit of a scene, but its important to getting Thakkor and Alicia where they’re going.  I need to do a little research ( and probably talk to some people with experience ) about sailing in order to make sure that the scene I just finished is accurate enough to fly.

In the mean time, I had a flash of inspiration and I’m working on a story in my third pen name too.  Once I start one of those, they typically fly by.  They rarely exceed two Lit pages, and don’t have much in the way of plot, so they’re not such brain-wrackers as what I normally write *laugh*

I’ll probably head back to Queen in the morning while I wait for the feelers on sailing to play out.  I don’t need to research the scene that follows, after all.

Up to 2500 words on Queen, and after the scene break I just typed, I’ll be in my primary location.  Had a couple of brainstorms at work today that should enhance the story, too 😀

A wee break, and back to the story.  I may not be getting much written each day, but at least I’m getting a little.  I’ve been out of that habit for too long, and this seems to be doing me some good.

Queen is up to 2200 words, and I’m about to put Thakkor and Alicia into the primary setting of the story.  Once I get them there, the fun and romance begins 🙂

Taking another quick break, and then I’m going to write a bit more on the scene I’m working on for SOTM 17.

Then, I’m going to try to get my problem child in bed a little earlier tonight.  I slept through the alarm for almost an hour this morning.
