Just opened back up a story I started two years ago at about this time, with plans to put it in the Halloween contest.  Didn’t finish it then, and put it away.  Tried again last year, and once again, something was just off about it.

Think I may have the right angle at last.

This is the next story in the Arts Ardane series, featuring Danica, and is set around the Harvest Festival.  It’s called Barren Harvest, and I think I might just finish it this time.

I’m working on cleaning up what I’ve already written, and preparing to move forward.  It’s 90% done, and was just waiting for me to find the right angle for the ending these last two years.  There’s a fair chance I may have it complete and ready to go before the weekend is over.

I’m also finally writing on the final chapter of Lowborn.  My muse time has served me well, and it’s flowing.  If I can get these two off my plate, I’ll have two less stories hanging over my head, nagging at me.  That opens up more muse time for SOTM.

It, of course, nags at me as well.  Once I finish it, I think I might just get into a more productive rhythm.  Having the story hanging over my head makes me feel guilty whenever I write anything else, but I simply cannot bear down on one story like that.  I have to have multiple things going in order to strike my various states of mind when I sit down to write.

I have another erotic horror idea for Halloween ( also set in Danica’s world ) that I may write as well.  It’s an adaptation of an old NPC backstory, much like Harvest of Blood from several years ago.  Working title ( very likely ) is simply “Flesh.”

Also preparing to start a Halloween outing for the Wood series, and may have some ideas in my third name.

If things cooperate, there could be a lot of new reading in the near future.

Well, this cold is just knocking me down and whipping my ass.  It’s obvious that I’m unlikely to finish Blessing for the contest, so I’m going back burner on it.  I might decide to release it as a regular story if I finish it before then, or save it to pick up next summer.

I’ll probably move forward with Spirit of the Wood, my idea for Halloween.  Lots more time to work on that one, so maybe I’ll finish it *laugh*

Also trying to finish another in my third name, but even set-up and screw porn is hard to write as bad as I’m feeling.  It’s only more likely because those stories are short, and a lot easier to write.

Just haven’t done much.  I’m miserable when I’m not medicated, and I’m in a zombie-like state when I am.  I’m still musing while at work, since my brain is more or less unnecessary in my job.  Just not getting any of it written when I get home.

Been several days, so I’m hoping to kick this thing soon.  I’m going to give a shot at knuckling down on SOTM and Lowborn when I do.  I’d really like to get the next chapter of the first out and start posting the second.  It’s been in the works forever.

Got that summer story in my third name finished, and I’ll probably do my first pass edit on it tonight.  Should easily be ready to enter into the contest early next week.  No way I’m doing day one on a Sunday.

Did a little more work on Blessing, now that I have the other story off the plate.  Moving along, and it’s up to 3k words now.  Just finished a scene, and getting ready to move into the next one.  A little interlude before the next bit of action starts, tossing my two main characters together.

As always, I’m working on Lowborn and SOTM.  I may pause on Blessing here in a bit to get the rest of the next scene in SOTM done.  I think it’s gelled well enough to flow, which should bring me past the slight sticking point I was at.

Lowborn is still giving me a bit of a fit.  There’s several things I want to accomplish with this final chapter, but I want to get the flow right.

Back to work.

The title is far more literal than I’m letting on *laugh*  I figured out an important story element for Blessing today, and that’s going to get that story moving forward.

I actually decided to change the POV on another story I might write for the summer contest in my third name as well.  Just think it will come better from her POV than his, and the one I’m almost done with is his POV anyway.

Did some musing on SOTM and wrote a little when I got home as well.

Unfortunately, I’m having one of those nights were I can’t close my eyes to visualize without getting drowsy :p  Trying to wake up a little and see if I can’t get some wordage in, but it’s a tough fight.
