Finally managed to get past that sticking point in Ch. 13. After fighting it forever, all I had to do was move it from the street in Fightershaven to the courtyard of Blackhawk Hall to make it work. Sometimes, the tiniest things can grind you to a complete halt.
After getting past that, I finished that scene, and smoothly transitioned through two more. I’m writing that second one now, looking for a good bridge into the real action of the chapter, which should move it along quickly.
I may not release it immediately after I finish it, however. Considering it’s already been so long, I may hold on if the next chapter is moving nicely. That way, perhaps I can get back on something resembling a decent release schedule. If I’m stalling again, I’ll just go ahead and put the chapter out. Otherwise, I’m going to try to have 14 nearly in the can before I put 13 out there. That way, maybe I’ll have 14 ready to roll when 13 posts, and already have part of 15 written. So on and so forth.
Thanks to everyone who’s sent encouraging notes while I’m struggling to cope with a major tragedy in my life.
