Multi-votes are swept and won&#8217;t count. Read before you vote. Votes that occur because you scrolled to the end of the story and voted won&#8217;t count, because the voting element tracks time on the page. You have to spend at least as much time as a speed reader on the page for it to count, and I want you to read it anyway! Don&#8217;t down-vote others in the contest because you like me and want me to win. I hope my readers wouldn&#8217;t do this, but I like to bring it up every so often. Don&#8217;t do it, because it&#8217;s just plain wrong!<\/p>\n<p>This is a sequel to Steward of the Wood, which was my Earth Day story last year, but Daughter of the Wood can stand alone, without reading the previous tale. I think you&#8217;ll like Steward too, though.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to go vote for me in the chain story Annual Awards thread, if you&#8217;re a member of Lit and think my chapter of Laresa is worthy of the honor as best chain story of the year.
