{"id":2526,"date":"2013-10-05T09:06:15","date_gmt":"2013-10-05T13:06:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/darkniciad.com\/blog\/?p=2526"},"modified":"2013-10-05T09:06:15","modified_gmt":"2013-10-05T13:06:15","slug":"yeah-that-didnt-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/darkniciad.com\/blog\/archives\/2526","title":{"rendered":"Yeah, that didn&#8217;t work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>That story I had in mind as Les for the Halloween contest just didn&#8217;t want to come together.<\/p>\n<p>Most likely, it&#8217;s because I&#8217;ve hit another motivation wall.\u00a0 Finding it difficult to open up WordPerfect again.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been looking for a distraction to keep me occupied for a while, but with limited success.\u00a0 Many times in the past, that&#8217;s been all that got me through one of these slumps.<\/p>\n<p>I do have an idea or two and quite a few stories in progress, though.\u00a0 I&#8217;m going to fiddle with those a little today and see if that can spark me.\u00a0 Sometimes I do just come out of these slumps by simply opening WordPerfect and getting some words on paper.<\/p>\n<p>No way I have time to finish &#8220;The Man I Used to Be&#8221; for this year.\u00a0 Guess I&#8217;ll file it away in the half-baked folder with &#8220;Within Steven&#8221; &#8211; another dark Halloween story I&#8217;ve fiddled with in a couple of previous years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That story I had in mind as Les for the Halloween contest just didn&#8217;t want to come together.
