{"id":2116,"date":"2012-07-29T10:02:29","date_gmt":"2012-07-29T14:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/darkniciad.com\/blog\/?p=2116"},"modified":"2012-07-29T11:11:38","modified_gmt":"2012-07-29T15:11:38","slug":"passed-the-4500-mark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/darkniciad.com\/blog\/archives\/2116","title":{"rendered":"Passed the 4500 mark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Passed the 4500 word mark on Lowborn last night.\u00a0 Before the young one decides to wake up this morning ( he was in a wild mood yesterday, which is why I didn&#8217;t get far ) I&#8217;m going to see how far I can get.\u00a0 I would really like to finish this chapter today.<\/p>\n<p>Still mulling around two ideas for the summer contest at Lit.\u00a0 One is a potential Magic of the Wood, and the other is a taboo tale similar to Stocking Stuffer from Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Can&#8217;t remember whether I mentioned it here ( I know I posted something on Facebook ) but I also had a brainstorm on a Halloween story I abandoned last year.\u00a0 I scribbled notes at work, which I transferred to the abandoned file when I got home.\u00a0 Tale inspired by one of my old NPC back stories called &#8220;Suzanne&#8221; mixed with a few lines from Aerosmith&#8217;s &#8220;Flesh&#8221;, with which it shares a title.<\/p>\n<p>I never know where my muse is going to go when she decides to pay me a visit.\u00a0 That would be a rare contest story as Dark,\u00a0if it comes together this year.<\/p>\n<p>EDIT ( a little later )\u00a0 Over 5300, and only the chapter transition scene to write.\u00a0 Think I&#8217;ll make it today.\u00a0 If I do, I&#8217;m going to knuckle down on the next draft of &#8220;Beauty&#8221; during any quiet time I have.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Passed the 4500 word mark on Lowborn last night.\u00a0 Before the young one decides to wake up this morning ( he was in a wild mood yesterday, which is why I didn&#8217;t get far ) I&#8217;m going to see how far I can get.\u00a0 I would really like to finish this chapter today.
