{"id":2011,"date":"2012-02-22T02:41:27","date_gmt":"2012-02-22T06:41:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/darkniciad.com\/blog\/?p=2011"},"modified":"2012-02-22T04:13:29","modified_gmt":"2012-02-22T08:13:29","slug":"a-little-maintenance-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/darkniciad.com\/blog\/archives\/2011","title":{"rendered":"A little maintenance work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Did a little maintenance work on the website tonight.\u00a0 I finally went through and added description tags to all the pages.\u00a0 While they don&#8217;t mean much to website ranking nowadays, they should really be there.\u00a0 So, now they are.<\/p>\n<p>Still need to go back through later and double-check everything with the xhtml validator.\u00a0 I&#8217;m determined to keep my code carefully validated from this point forward so it&#8217;s all in compliance.<\/p>\n<p>EDIT: A little later&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Installed a new app for the forum that lets me create custom sidebar content.\u00a0 Even though the forum isn&#8217;t the &#8220;go to&#8221; location on the website at the moment, I want to have some important information from the front page show up there in case anybody decides to eventually bookmark it.<\/p>\n<p>Rolled out the first one so that the forum now shows the latest story released, and provides a link to the &#8220;Latest Releases&#8221; page.<\/p>\n<p>More as I decide there&#8217;s a need, and I&#8217;ll probably look into doing the same sort of thing with the blog sidebar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Did a little maintenance work on the website tonight.\u00a0 I finally went through and added description tags to all the pages.\u00a0 While they don&#8217;t mean much to website ranking nowadays, they should really be there.\u00a0 So, now they are.
