Made it to the halfway point ( of the average chapter length, it can vary ) on SOTM 18 yesterday, and I’m hoping to get to the 3\/4 mark today.\u00a0 As I’ve said before, even when I’m not writing, I’m musing, and that’s steadily congealing upcoming chapters, and the story as whole.<\/p>\n
The biggest problem is that I have too large of a cast, and too many threads running in this one.\u00a0 I’m steadily narrowing it down and moving the end point of this book of the story to get all my ducks in a row.\u00a0 Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to have quite as hard of an ending ( although there will certainly be closure for a lot of threads in the story ) as I’d originally intended.\u00a0 I’d rather have had this book end more like Danica did, but this ending is going to be more Empire Strikes Back than A New Hope.<\/p>\n
No, I’m not that big of a Star Wars fan, but it’s the perfect example *laugh*\u00a0 The ending of SOTM just looks like it’s going to be more inevitable that a sequel is coming to wrap up the remaining story threads.<\/p>\n
Concentrating on SOTM at the moment, but I’d still like to finish that final chapter of Lowborn so I can start posting it.\u00a0 I might look at it when I finish this chapter of SOTM, before starting ( beyond the scene or two I always write after finishing a chapter ) the next.<\/p>\n
