My final entry in the Lit Halloween contest is up: Home by the Sea
SOTM Ch. 09 Live
Lit surprised me with a quicker than expected posting. SOTM Ch. 09 is out at Lit.
I’ll submit it to SOL in a few minutes.
Beware the Fandom Menace
New spoof in the works! I picked up a reeking bit of obvious Star Wars fanfiction, altered sufficiently to prevent Lucas from breathing down the author’s neck, even though he never actually posted it *laugh*
I originally thought I’d title this one “Abuse the Farce!” Now, I’m leaning toward “The Fandom Menace” That seems more appropriate, and it fits in well with the episode tag lines of the LST3K series =)
If you’re new to the series, jump to Episode 3 and give it a read! Lit sweeps keep sucking up all the votes on that one ( over 20 gone into the ether so far ) and it’s sitting at 9 votes. Read it and vote so it can finally regain the H it has lost at least four times in sweeps so far =P Maybe the Lit sweeper will even get the 1 bomb that dropped Ep. 05 below the 4.5 barrier and cost it an H.
SOTM 10 Finished
SOTM 10 is finished ( sans editing ) and 11 is started. The force appears to be with me right now, in keeping Danica’s tale flowing ~_^
I’m taking a little breather to let the just-finished chapter stew, and working on a couple of other stories ( both in my alternate pen name ) I’ve found that my thoughts congeal better when I do that, and that my first-pass edit is far more effective. Roust has a far easier time with my work when I let it simmer before giving it a once over myself and sending it out to him.
Another Home by the Sea
Don’t forget my contest stories, linked below. If you haven’t done so yet, go read and vote!
I’m working on the next VR:DQ, the final story in the arch, set in DQ1’s world. I’m also writing the follow-up to Kindled in Fiction. Meanwhile, I’m also penning a take on the Genesis song, Home by the Sea. I’ve already tackled this one as Darkniciad, but I’m working on a real world version with different characters and a different “home” for the Lit Halloween contest. We’ll just have to see if it flows and I can finish it in time.
