R.I.P Live at Lit

New story out for the Lit Halloween Contest.  Hop on over and give  R.I.P. (Regional Investigators of the Paranormal) a read and a vote, won’t you?

More new stuff brewing, but I’m pressed for time with trying to write, which is a good thing.  It’s so nice to actually feel like writing again, after such a long dry spell.

LST3K Sister Summer Live!

Even though it’s been out for a while, I’m just now getting around to updating the website with the new episode.  LST3K Ep. 10: Sister Summer is out at Lit.  Still have other stories just waiting for wit.  Why not drop me a line and add your own wit to the next one?  The more help I have, the more often these will come out.  Hint, hint ~_^

Missionary Impossible

It’s taken some time, but I think I might finally have my writing spark back. I’ve written over 60k words the last couple of weeks, and everything is still flowing smoothly. For those waiting on SOTM, I’m not quite in an emotional place to get back into it full steam, but I’m always working on it a little here and there.

As to what’s actually going to see a release soon, one is already out at SOL, and should be out at Lit soon. It’s a story taking place after Blackhawk and Queen Alicia, starring Mindblind, Arilee, and Christi. It’s an episode of life, much like King Thakkorias and Queen Alicia. I loved writing Ari again, and I hope she comes back to visit my muse more often!

The next thing to come out after that will probably be that long puttering Mindblind story. It’s called “Lowborn” and details his history, from about the same time period as Casting Off Convention and To Catch a Merchant Princess do for Christi, Thakkor, and Alicia. I have four chapters of it complete, and I’m working on the fifth. Coming along nicely, but I can’t say for sure when it will be finished. I’ll do my best to keep this page updated, as well as my SOL blog.

There will be more, from this pen name and my alternate. Only time will tell when and how much. All I know is that it’s nice to be back in the saddle, and excited to write again.

I have plans to do some updates to the website. The first one will be small. I’m going to post a copy of an old story for those interested. It’s not the best in the world, but it was the original version of “Harvest of Blood”. I thought some might find it interesting to see how my writing has evolved, and how the characters/story from that tale evolved from a concept story to set up an NPC in my D&D game into a story simply for reading.

The second plan is to update the characters pages with darn near every recurring character in all stories. I’m going to lean away from the “powers” thing that I have on the existing pages, and more toward physical descriptions. There may even be illustrations, if something works out, showing you how I envision the characters.

Enough for now. You can hop over to my SOL page to read “Missionary Impossible”, and I’ll post up a link when it goes live at Lit.

Here’s the Cover Image.

Not going to add a new entry, so the story is now Live at Lit

Just Musing

Don’t forget my contest story, linked in the update below.  Give it a read and a vote, if you haven’t already.  The ego boost from a contest win might just help me get over the difficult hump I’m still climbing to get back into writing regularly.

I typed the last line of SOTM 15 just a minute ago.  I’m going to go back and flesh out the imagery of the world a bit more in 14 and 15, and then sally forth in to Ch. 16 ( which is already started )

I’m going to try ( no promises ) to keep this page updated a bit more often.  I want to have at least one more chapter ready to go before I start posting again, so I’ll try to keep this page updated as to how it’s going.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m having to bounce back and forth between various stories across my pen names in order to keep my juices flowing.  It slows down everything, but at least I’m not at a dead halt, as I was for a long time over the last year — and really before that.  I’ve gone through a lot in the last couple of years, and it’s hard to summon up the motication and imagination necessary to bring the stories to life.  I’m always experimenting with new ways to revive my passion, so here’s hoping I find more to get me back into the place I need to be.  It seems to be doing some good so far.
