The current version of the story is the strongest idea I’ve had in the whole long process of trying to write this year’s Earth Day story. All the characters seem to be falling into place, and all the scenes ( many of which are bits and pieces of scenes I wrote in previous versions ) are coming to me clearly.
Working on it daily, and hope to have it to a point where I can give a possible release date soon.

Still trying to wrap up my Earth Day story.
This has been a rough year :p I’m still working on the story, and even though it won’t come out in the contest, I’ll still be posting an Earth Day story in the Magic of the Wood series.
I’ve started and abandoned at least four stories for this year’s entry, so there will be quite a few “cut scenes” added to the website ( as much as 6k words ) in time.
There’s a very good chance of a Nude Day story in the series this year, though. I only have two characters left in this “generation”, and I’m working to finish that this year so I can write a story I’ve been building up to for a long time.
Only have a couple of days to finish Blessing.
I’ve tweaked it, and I’m moving forward, but it’s going to be a close thing. If I finish it in time for the contest, that’s all to the good. If not, I’ll just post it as a regular story. I’m aiming for the contest, though.
Really been fighting this one, and writing in general. Going through one of those lulls, and my work schedule wasn’t helping much. Now that I’ve been off a couple of days, at least I’m rested up.
We’ll see what happens as the rest of the week rolls on.
I just rebooted Blessing again. The angle that I thought was working, wasn’t.
This time, rather than changing one or two things, I’m changing almost everything. New “Green” angle, new character motivations for my protagonist — the works.
The good news is that I’ll have a lot of cut scenes to add to the site from the aborted stories when I’m done :p
Hoping this one will work out as I want it to. I’m really coming down to the wire here, even with the opportunity of a week’s vacation coming up that covers the final week of the submission period.
Just typed up a quick outline for the opening, and I’m musing my way deeper into the story now, letting the characters talk to me.
