Being off the computer long enough for my back to quit aching has gotten me out of the habit, so it’s taking me a while to get back on the writing horse.
There’s just nothing singing to me right now. I’m musing at work, but just nothing coming on strong. Once I get a solid inspiration, I should be able to get rolling again. Until I manage that, I’m in a bit of a rut =P
Lit’s Year End Awards are finally up and running after umpteen delays. I made it to the finals in this one with Forever of the Wood.
You have to have an account with Literotica to vote, but it is free to sign up. If you’ve never visited the forums before, you might just find your favorite authors hanging out around there and get a glimpse of them “behind the scenes”, so to speak.
There’s a fair amount of backbiting, sniping, and politics, but there are always gems out there. And, if you have any aspirations of your own to write, there are plenty of people who can help guide you on your way, helping you avoid the common mistakes new authors make.

I’m also going to plug one of my favorite stories, in the Humor/Satire category. I was laughing out loud all the way through this one. While only chapter two is linked and nominated in the thread, you’ll obviously want to read chapter one as well. Trust me, you won’t be dissapointed.

Only a bit left in that sex scene, and just below the 11k word mark on SOTM 17. I’m going to try to wrap it up today.
Then, I’ll be knuckling down on Lowborn 07. I’d really like to get that one finished and start posting it. I’m intending to do two chapters a week, unless a contest falls in the middle. If a contest interrupts, I may very well pause completely. I certainly won’t put out more than a chapter a week if that happens.
Yeah, I do believe I was a little conservative in my estimate on how long SOTM 17 would end up. I’m maybe halfway through this sex scene, with the chapter closer still to come, and I’m already over the 10k word mark. *laugh*
I’m getting back to it in a minute, but I’ll probably have to take a break from it when the young one gets back from school in a few minutes. I think I’ll dive into the next chapter of Lowborn after that, because it should be solid action until near the end.
