It’s been a long week.  I was on overtime when I left today, with a whole day yet to go.  Needless to say, it hasn’t left me much time or energy to do much.  Barring good fortune, it will probably take me the weekend to recover, too.  I fiddle with my writing a bit, but when I’m this exhausted, it’s not good policy to try to do any serious writing.  I’d probably just end up scrapping everything I put to paper anyhow.

Get back in the swing as soon as I can.

Another 10 hour day, and I’m still not really recovered from Monday, so not much getting done tonight — at least on paper.  I have had time to muse, and I’m writing that redo of Lowborn in my head.  It’s much better than what I already had down.  Thinking about the other stories that hit “off” walls as well.

Secret of the Wood is up over 200 votes now ( it had 104 at the end of the contest, with 42 swept by the Lit Hoover ) and drawing a lot of reads/votes to my stories as Les — and even Dark.

To anybody new popping into the website, pardon the dust and bare scaffolding.  I’m slowly rebuilding the website to restore the information it once housed about my stories, me, and such.  It’s even harder to find the time to do that than it is to find time to write.

If nothing else, this is here with interaction ability, something the old site completely lacked.  Once I’m done, it should be a heck of a lot easier to use and update.

Anyway, I’m rambling because I’m half asleep *laugh*

Twelve hour shift today, and I’m beat.  I’m fiddling with Lowborn a bit, but I’m not going to get any serious writing done tonight.  Hoping this child will go to sleep at something resembling a reasonable hour so I can crash.

Took a wee vacation from writing.  Inspection coming up at work, and I’ve been spending too much time with a 30 ft. pole held over my head, staring for cobwebs on the ceiling.  Neck, shoulders, and back killing me 😛

Going to give it a shot tonight, as we got out of the cobweb duty.  A couple of aspirin and a nap might do the trick.

One wall of the front room left ( the young one’s toy corner ), and then the back bathroom + installing the window A.C. unit in the bedroom for the year that’s sitting in that bathroom *laugh*

After that, I can work on the back bedroom/ junk room at a more liesurly pace.  I’ve hauled out the bulk of the Goodwill clothes and stuff, at least giving me somewhere to work — finally.

So, I might actually get some writing done later.  We’ll see.
