Well, I pretty much know how Sanctuary needs to go.  Problem is, it’s going to be a much longer story, and there’s no way I can finish it in time for the contest *laugh*

I’m back-burnering it and skipping the contest.  I need to run out to the store and pick up the hailstorm of spent cardboard tubes from the fireworks I shot off last night, and then I’ll see if I can’t get another story moving.

Yep, my original concept of Sanctuary altered.  I do that a lot *laugh*  I ended up nuking about 400 words ( a scene and a start of another ) in order to improve the flow of the story.  The bonus is that it ties in better with the Nude Day theme.

This one is Xannera’s story.  I’m still planning to tell Mara’s story for Summer Lovin’.  I’m introducing a new character in this one who will be quite important for a future story that I’ve known I would tell for quite some time.  Odds are that the second part of that equation will pop up in Whispers ( the summer story )

Once I have those two puzzle pieces in place, I can tell that tale whenever I wish.  Odds are that I’ll get around to telling Glen’s story first, though.

Sanctuary is going to start expanding the mythology of the “wood” universe, too.

Now, to try to get a bit of those replacement scenes written before I have to crash out.  I’m off on Friday again, and not exhausted from long hours this time, so maybe I’ll have better luck getting some writing done.  I’m off the following Thursday as well, but the young one will be home that day.

Anyway, to my pen 😀

I had a flash of inspiration for a Nude Day story.  There’s a chance that it may be a no-sex story…  Just have to see how the characters are leading me.

It’s called “Sanctuary of the Wood”  Can you guess what series it’s in?  *laugh*

That’s the word that finally stuck and resolved itself into some neat little scenes.  So the summer story will be “Whispers of the Wood” 😀

Time to open up Wordperfect and the several stories I have running to see which one might inspire me tonight.  I’d sort of been concentrating on Queen, but that’s really kind of silly.  The Nude Day contest hasn’t even started, and Summer is quite a ways after that one.  It will be months before the story will ever see the light of day, even if I finish it now :p
