One more thing that just came up

Yesterday, I added my abandoned opening of A Royal Sacrifice Ch. 19 to the new “Unpublished” section.

It’s not going to be there much longer.

Red has finished new chapters to replace the first two missing chapters, and looking at my old one today, I suddenly had some inspiration.  I’ve read back through the story, keyed in on what is missing from that chapter, and I’m picking up where I left off oh-so-long ago.

It’s up to 2300 words, and I’m going to aim to finish it by the weekend.  Red has submitted the first missing chapter, and the second is in editing.

Within a couple of weeks, A Royal Sacrifice should be a complete story on Literotica again 😀

Moving on all fronts

I’m started on Ch. 19 of SOTM.  Sanctuary of the Wood is coming along nicely.  I’ve had some solid musing on Lowborn and Jackin’ Jill that I think will get those multi-chapter stories cranking when I put them on the plate.  The “About” page is coming along nicely, and I’m developing even more of the templates and coding I’ll need for the major content sections of the site.

I’m quite tickled with myself, frankly *laugh*  Still getting things done this evening even though I’m back to work now.  The recharge of my batteries over the last 10 days while still keeping up with some writing and website work seems to be paying off.

Even getting some things done like first-reads for other authors ( two so far and a third I’m getting ready to do ) and some coding for someone on the side as well.

I just finished a header image I’m really happy with that goes on the “Ancient Writing” subsection of the “About” page that will house a lot of unpublished ( don’t get too excited… it’s ancient stuff, and mostly terrible *laugh* ) writing from years long gone.  I’m really beginning to learn some new tricks in Photoshop thanks to some pointers from someone, and it’s dramatically improving what I can do with those header images.

I also have some new artwork on the way for the front page.  It’s a large composite image, so it will probably be a while before it shows up.  It will have more detailed Danica and Laresa pics.

I’ll probably start the editing process for SOTM 18 either tomorrow or Wednesday.  That should be long enough since I finished it to do a cold read.  I’ll then aim to get it to Roust by Saturday at the latest, and submit it by Sunday, for an expected release on Thursday or Friday of the following week.

That all depends on things going as planned, so it’s not set in stone yet.

Okay, I’m going to go do that read, then get back to writing on either SOTM 19 or Sanctuary.

Ch. 18 in the bag

Finished Ch. 18 of SOTM today, as expected.  I’ll let it sit for a couple of days, write on other things, and then come back to read it again before beginning my editing process, and then sending it off to my editor.

Due to the long delay in posting at Lit, I won’t be submitting it until next weekend ( barring any problems with editing )  Putting it in the queue at any other time risks a Saturday or Sunday posting, which are the kiss of death for reads, so I avoid them at all costs.

Sanctuary of the Wood is approaching 4500 words, so that’s moving well.  Plenty of time to have it finished, polished, and ready to roll by the time the Earth Day contest comes around.

Writing every day, and have been for a while.  It’s usually on several stories, but eventually, they’ll all come together and be ready for posting.  I’ve got a fairly good rhythm going, and until something breaks it, I’m good to go.

I’ll also mention that Red finished the first of the replacement chapters for the “A Royal Sacrifice” chain.  She submitted it today, and started working on the next replacement chapter immediately.  In the relatively near future, that chain should once more be whole.

For anyone who doesn’t know the story, one of the authors in the chain left Lit, and pulled all her stories.  As the replacement chapters post, I’ll announce them here and fix the links on the ARS page.  I need to get in there and add the ones that I forgot, as well.  I somehow missed linking the last several chapters.  I think I copied the old page, and the chain wasn’t complete when I posted that.

Teaser posted

As I’m wrapping up the writing of SOTM 18, I went ahead and posted a teaser on the forum.  If you look at the comments of Ch. 17, I also posted another brief teaser there a while back.

If I don’t finish it tomorrow — or even tonight — I’ll be surprised.  As I’ve mentioned before, I have several scenes ready to roll that I moved from this chapter to the next, too.  It doesn’t mean my muse will cooperate to finish the next one any quicker, but at least I have a jump start to make it that much more possible.

I’ll probably work on Sanctuary as soon as I finish the first draft and get at least part of Ch. 19 written.  I may put Lowborn or some Les Lumens stuff on the plate, though.  I have a couple of unfinished stories that have been sitting on the back burner for quite some time.  Once I finish either Lowborn or Jackin’ Jill, there will be a rush of weekly chapers on those.  The other is a one-shot Valentine’s story.

Off to relax for a couple of minutes.  I’ve been running or writing pretty much all day.

Nearly there.

I’m writing the next to the last scene on SOTM 18.  Well, it’s actually the next to the next to last scene, but I skipped ahead and wrote the final scene of the chapter when this one didn’t want to flow.

Anyway, only this one and another to go.  Aiming to finish them today.

Probably would have been done sooner, but I’ve had a full plate.  Cleaned off everything else except Sanctuary, and I’m feeling the flow on SOTM now.

I have a couple more ideas ready to go on the plate, but I’m trying to avoid thinking about them so they don’t distract me.  My muse seems to get distracted by shiny things like new storylines and wants to scamper off.

I’m moving along, and hope to have it ready for editing soon.  I may go ahead and post the teaser some time today.  Once this chapter is done, I’m going to start on the next, getting down some of those scenes that I moved out of the current chapter.  That should give me a good jump start.  Once I wind down there, I’m going to take a look at Lowborn again, and see if I want to put it back on the active plate.  Sanctuary will naturally stay on the plate until finished.

Off for a nap ( Nice to be on vacation when the young one is on a tear of not wanting to go to bed at a decent hour ) and then back to writing when I get up.
