Lit is really on the ball! Casting Off Convention has already been assigned a date to be released, the 28th. Usually, you only see a date just before it goes live. Kinda nice to know when something is going to go up. Hope this trend continues, because that will allow me to announce in advance exactly when a new story will come up.
The new Danica and new Arts Ardane are both moving right along. More detailed information on both of them soon, promise.
Lit surprised me today by getting all six edits to Blackhawk up in one chunk =) Thus, Casting Off Convention has now been submitted to Lit and should go live in a week or so.
Danica 19 is moving right along. I’m just taking my time and getting things right. Keep checking back, and I’ll start updating with % done soon.
I’ve started on the next Arts Ardane, “Sister’s Shadow”. A pattern emerged once I started posting at storiesonline, when I decided to name the first Ardane “Devan’s Decision” there. The Arts Ardane tales are now going to be two word titles, and they’re all going to be “Someone’s Something” This tale is going to be a storiesonline exclusive, because the submission rules of Lit just aren’t going to let it fly. Likewise, it will not appear here on the website for the same reason. The tale centers on Danica, as the title will probably reveal to anyone who knows Danica. It is set shortly after Kampar’s Wand.
I’m working on the overall map of Egoria, with zoomed in Duchy views to follow, to give everyone some reference about that country. It is prominant in Blackhawk, is starting to crop up in Danica, will show up in Arts Ardane, etc. Egoria is an important nation in my world.

Mid-day Update
All six chapters of Blackhawk now have edits submitted at Lit. I’m not going to post Casting Off Convention there until those edits go live.
Casting has been put in the queue at Storiesonline, and probably will go up there before the day is out.
Likewise, Casting is now available here on the Short Stories page. If you read it here, vote for it at Lit/S.O. when it comes out at those places, please! Feel free to cross over and vote at both places 😉

The second draft of Chapter three for Casting is in Roust’s hands. Should be the final run-through, with it ready to go live everywhere tomorrow if my guess is right. The story is *much* improved for having an editor with a sharp eye and excellent suggestions on board.
Home took a hit and fell to the 50’s of EH :: sigh :: I love that story so much, and it is one of my lowest rated tales both places it is posted. On the good side, Blackhawk 01 got a bump vote that put it into the toplists for SF. That means that all of my tales at Lit are in the toplists =)
The new edits of Blackhawk, that I plan to post ahead of Casting at Lit ( likely causing delays in the Lit release ) will probably help the scores of that series as well. Casting references Blackhawk in the author’s notes, and so I want that story cleaned up before I post the new tale at Lit. The storiesonline version of Blackhawk is already the cleaned up versions, so it will go in the queue there as soon as it has passed the final editor approval. Likewise, it will be available on the short stories page here as soon as it is complete.
Danica 19 is moving right along. I’m off tomorrow, with only getting Casting launched to work on, so a couple of important scenes will likely get written on Danica tomorrow, perhaps more.
I’m still kicking around the two Ari tales, finding their hooks. If I haven’t mentioned it before, one is a prequel to Blackhawk, telling how Ari’s journey to Fightershaven began. The second is a follow-up, telling how young Ari deals with being thrust into the nobility.
Regardless of Home’s continuing downward spiral, There are still Erotic Horror tales running through my head that will see the light of day eventually. I like the dark stuff.
Actually, I’ll be writing a bit of Danica tonight. I promise, it will get in your hands as fast as my muse will allow.
Just send a second draft of Casting to the editor, and made a few adjustments to the first chapter as well, based upon his suggestions. It seems I have another common annoying quirk I hadn’t detected yet, constantly having everyone “begin” or “start” to do something. When I got back the first draft with that notation, I could almost hear Dark Helmet from Spaceballs saying, “Why are you preparing? You’re always preparing! Just go!”
It’s in his hands for review now, and should be back before too long. The third chapter is over half done, and probably will be finished by the end of the day. Of course, my track record for those predictions isn’t exactly perfect *laugh*
The naughty bits of this one are going to be quite detailed, taking up the largest part of the third chapter. I’m writing the scene from a more female-centric perspective, leading up to the overt sexual contact with a lot more touching, kissing, etc. Considering it goes 2/3 into the story with barely a bit of heat, I don’t think the pumped up sex scene will hurt anything, and in fact is almost necessary in my vision. There’s a lot I want to convey in that scene too, so it all works out. I’m planning to put an informational in there telling everyone to “skip ahead to track three if you’re just looking for sex” when I post it, so that the stroke seekers will be able to find what they’re after without wading through all that ridiculous scene setting, character establishing stuff 😉
The new version of Kampar is up at Lit, so I need to get the first couple of chapters of Blackhawk reposted to Lit now.
Converted both Arts tales, Prelude, and Thakkor over to webpages here instead of linked .txt files. I’ll convert all the Blackhawks soon as well. Preparation for Casting, which will be presented here in a webpage format, the new norm for my short stories.
