Danica Update:

I’ll try to keep this updated with a lot more regularity, now that I’m concentrating on Danica as my primary goal. Once I have a lot more to report, I’ll make an announcement via the mailing list, as well.

Wow, didn’t have much to say last month, did I? Sorry, I’ve been fighting a major motivation issue to write, and haven’t had much time.
I’ve finished my final Laresa chapter in the chain, and should be posting it soon. That means I have no more deadlines looming over me, and that may help get me moving again.
I’ve finished my edits to Danica Prelude, and Danica Pt. 01. They’ll be passing through my editor soon, and will go live at Lit as soon as they are finalized. I want to make sure Book I is in good shape before I start posting SOTM, so that people aren’t turned away by some sub-par writing issues in the older chapters. It isn’t taking long to edit each chapter, so this should be done quickly.
In the meantime, I’m also writing on SOTM. Remember, I’m going to make sure I have quite a few chapters done before I start posting any of them. This is to try and ensure a solid release schedule, not leaving too long of a wait between chapters.
I’ve also decided to post Book I of Danica at Storiesoline. Once this happens, my link at SOL will point here, instead of to the portal. I’ll probably leave the portal up ( linked from the Misc. Titbits page ) since it has a few pics of Bailey that aren’t elsewhere. It will also mean that there will be changes elsewhere on the site. I plan to have all the edits finished and ready to go before I start posting the story to SOL. That way, I can release a new part on a near daily basis for a long period of time. The original chaptes ( about 40k words each ) will be broken down into three parts for posting at SOL.
I updated a couple of character entries here on the website, making some corrections, also adding Zoraster to the major characters page, and Marlena to the supporting character page. If you’d like to know more about a character in the story, just drop me a line, and I’ll add a character entry for them! Want to know something specific about a character already listed? Drop me a line and I’ll take care of that for you too!
Back to work. I know there’s been a big gap between Book I and Book II of Danica, but I hope that it will be worth the wait in the end for everyone. I want to make sure the story is everything you’ve come to expect, and that you get a new dose on a regular schedule.

I’m really on an excited kick with Danica. The story is flowing through my head rapidfire now. Writing itself quickly. Once I finish closing out the Laresa chain, I’m going to jump in both feet. I’ll be sending out some emails soon. I want a proofreader or two. First, I want someone to look over some edited chapters of Danica. I’m going to correct the style, some errors, and a few other little things, in order to bring it up closer to par with my current work. I want at least a good chunk of them re-edited and online before I start posting Book II.
The prize for taking on this task will be advanced reading of SOTM, because I’ll want somebody who knows Danica well to proofread the new chapters before they hit Lit too. So whoever is willing to help with the edits, and I can work with the best ( one or more ) will get to see new SOTM Danica stories before anyone else. No need for major grammar checking, I just want someone looking out for things my eyes might miss, and perhaps contradictions I might make while writing half-asleep.
The new chapter of Laresa is out, Fear of Freedom is Ch. 22 of Laresa. Go RVC it! =)
I’m writing Ch. 24 now, my final chapter in the chain, and the penultimate chapter as well. 25 will be the last Laresa story in the chain, although we all agree that Laresa stories don’t have to end with the chain. Many of us have ideas for Laresa stories to write, probably for a long time to come =)
The sequel to Blackhawk is just as clear in my mind as Danica, but Danica will have priority, because I put out an Arilee story not too long ago, and it’s time for Danica and the girls to get some time ^_^

We had some shakeups in the Laresa schedule, so I have Ch. 22 and Ch. 24 as well. I just finished 22, and I’m getting ready to send it off for editing. For those on SOL, you’ll have to read these on Lit. There are just far too many elements of the greater plotline in these chapters, and unless you read the rest of the chain, they just won’t make enough sense.
That means that my other stuff is sort of on the back-burner for the moment. I’m also finishing my last Vday contest entry, and I have another short story I’m going to post in a chain for FTF as well.
Once I clear that backlog out, I’ll get back into Danica’s world, promise ~_^ I decided that the transition story I was writing felt more like part of the main tale than a transition, so I’ve folded it into Book II. That means that two chapters of SOTM are almost done, rather than a chapter and a half of a transition story. I’m going to get at least six chapters finished, and several chapters of Danica re-edited, before I start posting SOTM. I’ll post them about one a week/week and a half, trying to keep my writing ahead of the postings. With the shorter chapters, it should be easier than it was on Book I of Danica.
